Acupuncture & Pregnancy
Acupuncture during pregnancy offers a gentle and deeply supportive way to care for both mother and baby as the body moves through this remarkable season of change. Rooted in the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, treatments are designed to nourish the body, regulate circulation, and support the natural rhythms of pregnancy.
Many mothers find that Acupuncture helps ease common discomforts such as nausea, fatigue, headaches, and musculoskeletal tension while also creating space for rest, calm, and emotional balance.
At The Wellness Studio, each treatment is thoughtfully tailored to the stage of pregnancy, providing a peaceful and nurturing environment where you can feel confidently supported as your body does the incredible work of growing new life.
“Motherhood begins in the quiet moments of becoming.”
First Trimester Care
During the first trimester, Acupuncture treatments focus on stabilizing the pregnancy, easing morning sickness, improving fatigue, reducing hormonal headaches or migraines, and helping the body adapt to rapid hormonal changes.
Second Trimester Care
During the second trimester, Acupuncture treatments support blood circulation, digestion, and musculoskeletal balance while helping relieve common concerns such as headaches, heartburn, and growing tension in the back and hips.
Third Trimester Care
In the third trimester, Acupuncture treatments often center on preparing the body for birth by promoting relaxation, reducing swelling and discomfort, improving sleep, and encouraging the body to move toward labor in a calm and balanced way.
Throughout pregnancy, Acupuncture treatments provide a nurturing space for mothers to rest, regulate the nervous system, and support both their own wellbeing and their baby’s development.

Breech Baby Presentation
Acupuncture and Moxibustion (Moxa) are gentle, time-honored techniques in Traditional Chinese Medicine that can be used to support babies who are in a breech position. When used during the appropriate window of pregnancy, this approach may help encourage the baby to turn naturally into a head-down position.
At The Wellness Studio, these treatments are offered with great care and guidance, creating a calm and supportive environment while trusting the body’s natural ability to create space and movement for baby.

If your little one is breech, schedule this treatment as soon as possible.
“In childbirth and delivery, acupuncture has been reported to be beneficial for inducing labor, shortening the time of labor, avoiding post-term dates, and reducing postpartum bleeding.”
According to a systematic review published by the Cochrane Library, weekly acupuncture has been shown to reduce the likelihood of medical interventions including the need for a cesarean section.

Labor & Delivery Support
As you approach labor and delivery, Acupuncture can offer gentle support that helps you feel both physically prepared and emotionally grounded.
Acupuncture treatments are designed to encourage the body’s natural readiness for birth, promote relaxation, and support the smooth flow of energy needed for labor to unfold. Just as importantly, this stage of care is about helping you reconnect with the deep wisdom of your body.
At The Wellness Studio, we hold space for you to feel seen, heard, and supported as you move toward birth, reminding you that your body knows how to do this, and that you are not alone as you step into this powerful moment of becoming a mother.
“Growing a life is the quietest kind of miracle.”
