Acupuncture
Acupuncture originated in China and has been in practice for thousands of years. Acupuncture is a form of holistic medicine which regulates disharmonies within the mind and body. Thin, single use, sterilized acupuncture needles are inserted into the skin. Specific acupuncture points are selected based off of the patient's presenting symptoms. Acupuncture also treats the root cause(s) of the presenting symptoms, focusing on the body as a whole.

There are 12 Meridians that represent each organ in the body. These meridians are dispersed throughout the body and house the Acupuncture points. Each Acupuncture point has its own unique function as well. Based on your symptoms, specific Acupuncture points are selected for your treatment.
The Wellness Studio offers session on a treatment table or reclined in our heated zero gravity chair.

New Patient Consultation

During your Consultation, you will spend dedicated one-on-one time with Dr. Sybil reviewing your medical history, intake form, and discussing your current health concerns and long-term goals.

Dr. Sybil will carefully assess your presentation and develop a personalized Acupuncture Care Plan tailored specifically to your body and needs. She will walk you through her findings and treatment recommendations, ensuring you feel informed, supported, and confident in your care.
Following the consultation, you will have the option to remain for your first Acupuncture treatment, allowing you to begin your healing journey immediately.
Acupuncture Education & Care Plan

During your second treatment, Dr. Sybil will provide you educational pieces supporting your diagnosis. This includes food therapy, herbal medicine prescriptions, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations. This visit is designed to provide all the tools you need to optimize your health goals. You will stay for an Acupuncture treatment.

In order to best support you, it is ideal to see your acupuncturist on a regular basis and consistency is key. When it comes to Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, we understand that our bodies heal from the inside out and to meet your wellness goals, it is beneficial to have a regular long term relationship with your acupuncturist.
Re-Evaluation & Maintenance

After completing the initial Care Plan outlined by Dr. Sybil during your consultation, a re-evaluation will take place to assess your progress and how your body has responded to treatment. At that time, Dr. Sybil will guide you through the next phase of your care.

For some patients, this may mean continuing with regular acupuncture treatments to further support healing and balance. For others, it may be an opportunity to transition into a maintenance phase, where treatments are reduced to help sustain progress and support long-term wellness. Each plan is thoughtfully tailored to your unique needs and health goals, ensuring you continue to feel supported every step of the way.

"The part can never be well unless the whole is well."
"I was an acupuncture newbie when I started going to The Wellness Studio last September. Sybil helped put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable at my first few sessions. Now I look forward to them as one of the highlights of my month! Sybil is great at going over any health and wellness concerns and customizing each session to what I have going on at that time. I would highly recommend Wellness Studio to anyone!"
