Acupuncture Postpartum Care

The postpartum season is a sacred time of healing, nourishment, and profound transition. After giving so much of herself to bring new life into the world, a mother deserves to be deeply supported as her body recovers and her heart adjusts to this new chapter. This is a time to slow down, be cared for, and allow space for rest, warmth, and nourishment.

At The Wellness Studio, we believe mothers should be held just as tenderly as the babies they welcome, because when a mother feels supported, seen, and restored, the entire family thrives.

“Rest, nourishment, and support are the foundations of postpartum healing.”

Step 3

New Patient Consultation

During your Consultation, you will spend dedicated one-on-one time with Dr. Sybil reviewing your medical history, intake form, and discussing your current health concerns and long-term goals.

Dr. Sybil will carefully assess your presentation and develop a personalized Acupuncture Care Plan tailored specifically to your body and needs. She will walk you through her findings and treatment recommendations, ensuring you feel informed, supported, and confident in your care.

Following the consultation, you will have the option to remain for your first Acupuncture treatment, allowing you to begin your healing journey immediately.

Acupuncture Education & Care Plan

During your second treatment, Dr. Sybil will provide you educational pieces supporting your diagnosis. This includes food therapy, herbal medicine prescriptions, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations. This visit is designed to provide all the tools you need to optimize your health goals. You will stay for an Acupuncture treatment.

In order to best support you, it is ideal to see your acupuncturist on a regular basis and consistency is key. When it comes to Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, we understand that our bodies heal from the inside out and to meet your wellness goals, it is beneficial to have a regular long term relationship with your acupuncturist.

Re-Evaluation & Maintenance

After completing the initial Care Plan outlined by Dr. Sybil during your consultation, a re-evaluation will take place to assess your progress and how your body has responded to treatment. At that time, Dr. Sybil will guide you through the next phase of your care.

For some patients, this may mean continuing with regular acupuncture treatments to further support healing and balance. For others, it may be an opportunity to transition into a maintenance phase, where treatments are reduced to help sustain progress and support long-term wellness. Each plan is thoughtfully tailored to your unique needs and health goals, ensuring you continue to feel supported every step of the way.

"Following each Acupuncture treatment, the volume of milk increased within several hours, measured as a residual milk after breastfeeding. Also, the milk was released from both breasts after the first Acupuncture session and this bilateral maternal milk production was sustained during the rest of lactation."
