Founder | Owner of The Wellness Studio
Hi, my name is Sybil Rosenau! I am a healer, a dog mom, a plant lover, and I am incredibly excited to welcome you to The Wellness Studio in downtown Victoria MN!
The Wellness Studio has been a dream of mine for many years. I was first introduced to the healing power of acupuncture while I was still in high school. Throughout my adolescent and teenage years, I found myself dealing with chronic anxiety and OCD. Doctors were quick to suggest powerful medications, but even at a young age I found myself searching for alternative treatment methods. I had my first acupuncture treatment when I was 16 years old. I quickly realized that not only was I managing my anxiety better, but my sleep and digestion had improved significantly! Before I knew it we were treating my pulled hamstring & seasonal allergies, and I began seeing acupuncture as a means to maintain my overall health.
After graduating high school, I studied Psychology at Southwest Minnesota State University and in 2016 I began my studies in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU). During my time at NWHSU, I completed twelve (yes,12)
internships and nearly 900 clinical hours. My favorite internship allowed me to spend two semesters at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital where we focused on patient care for pain and nausea management. I also volunteered to treat parents and hospital staff for common conditions such as anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, back pain, and carpel tunnel. The program at NWHSU also provided me with the opportunity to study in Henan, China during the spring of 2019.
I graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University with a double Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in the fall of 2019. In the spring of 2020, I completed my Eastern and Western national board exams to become a diplomate of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I received my acupuncture license through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice the summer of 2020.
When I'm outside of the studio, I am most likely loving up on my two rescue dogs - Miko & Hank, re-arranging my 50 house plants, doing photography, or enjoying time with family and friends.
